Ang bida sa buhay ko - si Raine - is back this morning with my mother. Remember last week, they left to join my brothers in Meyc, Bulacan.
Raine brought home new clothes. Apparently, he was brought to SM by my brother Gary to shop for clothes. (reimbursement daw ng mga pamasahe ng kambal!) Gary is the one that Raine calls Papa Gary. The twins he call Titos. Maybe because Gary is 14 years older than the twins? Anyways, Raine made the distinction in the titles early on. Gary, to this day is his Papa Gary.
Parang pumayat si Raine. Or maybe it is the new haircut? But I’m pretty sure he grew a few inches taller. Ganyan talaga pag di mo nakita ang anak mo ng medyo matagal. Parang pumayat…parang tumangkad? Ha ha ha.
I have always thought that the reason I was given 3 brothers is that Raine will come into our lives in the future. That having no real father in tow wouldn’t matter one bit because my brothers will more than compensate to whatever Raine will lack in a father figure. He will be given everything…and more.
This is the very reason why I was crazy enough to decide 3 years ago that it is time to come home. See? Raine can now go on trips even without me. He’s comfortable with my mother and my brothers. At last he has realized that I am not the only family he’s got. And if my father were still here? I bet he is the one taking Raine to school and back.
Well…among the many new shirts he brought home, this is my favorite:
Written in front: spoiled rotten by daddy. Sweet naman pala ang kapatid ko! Also, he bought the same one for Glenn too, his son. I was teary-eyed when I saw the print. Why would I ask for anything more? Raine is being loved by my family too much. Anybody that comes along is just the icing on the cake.
