I spent the weekend in Manila and Southern Tagalog. I flew on noon of Saturday and came back on Monday morning. I took the Ceb Pac 6 am flight to Legaspi City.
By 130 pm on Saturday I was at the SM Mall of Asia. Originally, I planned on catching a movie but there wasn’t enough time. I had lunch first at Tokyo, Tokyo and it was already 230 by the time I’m done. (Ang haba ng pila!) I was just killing time until a couple of my uplb chemsoc sisses arrived to pick me up at a little past 4. Before that I took a quick round at the MOA SM Department Store and killed the rest of my time in front of the Go Nuts Donuts store. I bought a box of their good donuts and sipped my iced tea for some 1.5 hours. Yes, mahirap maghintay but it was all worth it.
We then went to San Pedro, Laguna where the brod who hosted the event, resides with his family. His wife is an old friend of the group and they already have 3 kids. There was an awful traffic at the Bicutan area on our way to San Pedro. It was already dark when we arrived in San Perdro. Consequently the rest of the gang arrived. There were a total of 11 adults that arrived (+ 1 toddler). If I brought Raine with me, he would have been too happy to play with that toddler and the resident 3 kids that our host and hostess have.
Some things never change. Madaldal pa rin kaming lahat. I almost lost my voice with all the talking and the laughing out louds!
That life of the party is still that. We are still ethanol boys ang girls (mga lasenggo at lasengga!), except that that I have already given up drinking alcohol a long time ago. That fact is just unbelievable walang maniwala sa kanila.
Ha ha ha. Retired ethanol girl na si Glo. Who ever thought that time will come? Nobody.
We spent the night eating like there’s no tomorrow and drinking like there’s no tomorrow. We talked about life and stuff and most of all we reminisced the good old college days. We laughed at all our stupidities and we revelled in all our achievements.
Anyways…we all didn’t want to part ways. A couple of them left before 12 MN. And an hour later one of the guys was fetched by his wife. One unbelievable thing as well! No choice sya, eh di uwi. He he he. The rest of us stayed until around 2 am. It was already 4 am when I slept. In the house where I stayed, the talking just didn’t stop. There was just a lot of things to discuss and update each other on.
Those guys I trusted my life with in college. 15 years later…and I still do. It’s just too bad my internet connection is not cooperating. I’m still unable to upload the photos.
Then I wasked why I seem to love blogging. I told them that I have a public speaking anxiety and that I find blogging a good substitute for that.
