freelancers don’t get a holy week holiday
This is the second week that I’ve been coming back to the city to work since Raine went on vacation. While I enjoy not getting up really early in the mornings, I envy the rest of the people around me. Everyone seems to be on vacation mode, especially today because of the holy week.
Everyone is going somewhere. The beach has gotten really crowded. Typical at this time of year.
When I was still residing in LB, holy week is the only holiday in the year that I don’t go home. Just because I hate the crowd in buses and bus terminals. In those days, passengers are getting inside bus windows just to get a seat. It was just horrible. Stressful too!
Then makakuha ka pa ng kaaway sa bus. I remember flagging down a 50ish guy smoking inside an air-conditioned bus. The only reason I took the bicol-bound aircon buses then was to avoid the guys smoking inside the ordinary bus. Otherwise, I’ll be fine without the aircon.
Then later on, nauso na ang seat reservation sa bicol-bound buses.
summer class
While vacation is already here, Raine will have summer classes for a month, in 3 weeks’ time. That is because he has to take remedial classes for reading and Math.
That been said, we are on the verge of losing our planned summer vacation all-together.
Well anyways…we”ll probably just hit the nearest beach in town anytime soon and during the summer for some much needed R&R. I just feel bad I won’t be able to see my friends in LB. Oh well…there’ll be a next time for sure.
vacation is here
It’s Monday again and I’m back here in the city to do some work. Freelancers don’t have a vacation after all. Raine’s vacation officially started last Friday (right after the 4th periodical test). So we went home to the barrio right away on Thursday afternoon. I came back here in the city on Friday hoping that I can work some more. But there was a 9 to 5 brownout in the whole province. Yes, the whole province. Unbelievable but true. I had no choice but to go back home. Instead of getting angry about it, I went to sleep.
Anyways… I’m warming up in here at the moment. Surfing the web, checking emails…in no time it will be quick trim reviews. Hopefully, there’ll be other topics as well.
Have a nice day everyone!

missing footwear
Since I have been working at home, one thing I don’t get to do is dress-up for work. While I don’t really miss dressing up and getting a new attire on a monthly basis, I miss putting on some fancy footwear. (Gosh these Giuseppe Zanotti are making me drool to the max just by looking at them.) Not that they used to be my daily footwear but I can put one some heels without tripping every 2 blocks. I prefer some Keds or Chucks though.
Anyways…speaking of footwear…Raine’s school shoes (black) and rubber shoes (for P.E.) just about made it to these last days of school. He’ll certainly need new ones for next school year. At least I have a reason to go shopping this summer even if the items I’m going to get aren’t for me at all.
blogging machine
I’ve had extra assignments writing acne product reviews and so much more, and I am once more a blogging machine. Well I need that extra moolah so I am not really complaining. In time for next enrollment, I’ll have something for the initial installment.
Last night however, I felt really drained but can’t sleep right away. I’m still blogging inside my head even though my body is already physically exhausted. Know that feeling? You want to fall asleep but your head is still racing with thoughts you might as well hit the keyboard once more. But you are just human you need to rest…so rest I did.
Anyways…since I’m not getting shortlisted in any of my job applications, I welcome all the writing opps with open arms. I just hope they keep coming for awhile.
i can see you…
Raine thinks I have eyes behind my back and beyond that I can actually see what he’s doing at school.
What he doesn’t know is that I have a spy in his class. His classmate (a girl) and former seatmate.
Until I am allowed security cameras, that will have to to.Well the girl isn’t really spying. I just get irregular reports, mostly whether Raine is pasaway or not.
He he he. Or if he got into fight, who started it and whether it is Raine’s fault or not. Things like that.
I just don’t know how convinced Raine is, but he thinks it’s kinda cool. At least he thinks I’m cool. Ha ha ha.
grumpy in the morning
There’s nothing like a 1st grader who didn’t want to get up at 6 am and consequently doesn’t want to eat breakfast, to ruin your day.
Hayyyy…
Thursday na kasi, naipon na ang pagod nya.
But I am tired too. I get up at 530 every morning while I struggle to sleep at night.
I am more tired than you Raine. So suck it up and get up. Ayun bumangon din.
tuna sandwich and the lenten season
Now that’s it again time for Fasting, I miss the old tuna sandwich from Jollibee. They used to have that on lenten season when I was still in college. Now they only have tuna pie.
As if I’m serious on fasting? He he he. Poor people do not fast. I’m sure God understands that.
I’ve never really fasted my whole life. Except that time when blood tests are about to be done on me.
Anyways…I just wanna say I really miss the Jollibee tuna sandwich. Masarap yun eh.
Ha ha ha!!
