So I have been watching the American Idol Season 9… and my top 3 bet for this year’s finale night are the following:

1. Lee DeWyze

American Idol Season 9: Lee DeWyze

What can I say? He’s got David Cook’s appeal but a toned-down version. The voice? Ohhh MY! Partida pa yan dahil napaka-tipid ngumiti ng lalaking ito. ;)

2. Crystal Bowersox

American Idol Season 9: Crystal Bowersox

This girl is truly amazing. She’s unique in her own way and has got a lot of depth, despite the piercing, the tattoos and the dreds. Her voice can go soul, gospel and everything else in between.

3. Michael Lynche

American Idol Season 9: Michael Lynche

Big Mike is such a lovable, kind guy and it shows every time.  For such a big tough-looking guy, he is the one always emotionally-connected to the songs he performs.

There goes my top 3 this season. I hope they all make it.

If the label says diet pills that work, that usually don’t work. Don’t be fooled by celebrities endorsing slimming pills. Getting to your ideal weight has no short cuts. You need the proper diet and regular exercise. We just have to sweat it out. Losing weight isn’t as easy as what you see in the TV ads.

Imagine, even those that work hard and really sweat it out so to keep their ideal weights, still have a hard time. You can’t just a pop a pill for that.  If you insist on the shortcuts (diet pills, cosmetic and bariatric surgery), there are medical consequences that you have to face which can mostly be scarier than the  procedure itself.

To the one who found me…this one’s for you:

You by the light
Is the greatest find
In a world full of wrong
You’re the thing that’s right

Finally made it through the lonely
To the other side

Chorus:
You said it again
My heart’s in motion
Every word feels like a shooting star
I’m at the edge of my emotions
Watchin’ the shadows burnin’ in the dark

And I-I-I’m in love (I’m in love)
And I-I-I’m terrified
For the first time
And the last time
In my only life, life

Ever since El Niño started in the northern Philippines this year, it has been raining regularly here in Bicol. Though not the monsoon rains we normally get in the wet season, we’ve been having summer rains that usually comes at night and in early mornings. Today however, it has been raining heavily since dawn. (Ano ba ngayon August?) Yeah in the height of the summer. But we love it because it’s not too hot anymore.

Just as we’re planning to take the electric grill out, it rained…

Except for my wet feet while coming to the city this morning, I love the comfortable temperature. I even wore a jacket! So if you want to escape the summer heat and the nasty air pollution in Manila? Come to Bicol. ;)

These days, I am busy blogging not just about weight loss products but also about practically any topic under the sun. I just have no choice, there’s a need to be a ‘general expert’.

On the other hand, there’s 3 more weeks of Raine’s summer class. So he comes with me to the city on a daily basis for his half hour in school. The downside is that, I need to get up at 5 am again. Summer is supposed to be vacation time right? Anyways…3 more weeks and we’re off to a real vacation. I can’t wait.

Last night I can’t sleep…the last time I looked at the clock, it was 230 am. Then I fell asleep eventually. Then my alarm was ringing at 530 am, today is Raine’s first day of summer class! Gosh.

Times like last night, it’s a bad thing that my work station is in the city. Normally I go online on sleepless nights. My eyes get tired easily than wasting time watching TV just so I’ll get sleepy. The only thing I get from watching too much TV is a huge headache. ;)

Anyways…real jobs (not even Philadelphia jobs) are still out of my reach. In the meantime, I have more blog assignments. Maybe that’s one way of fate saying that I should stick to blogging? Either way, I’m still not complaining. As long as the $$$ come my way in blogging, I’ll be just fine. He he he.

It’s Friday and the end of the work week for me too. But unlike those with 8-5 jobs, I’ll be going home in a few minutes. Yey! I’ve been here since around 8 am and thank God there’s no heavy workload today. Now I can look forward to a weekend of eating and sleeping (help…weight loss drink!).

Monday is going to be a different routine for us.It’s the start of Raine’s summer class that will go on for  weeks. Classes will be half-days only but I got to stay on after lunch to work some more. I just hope I can convince Raine to stay in the city for a few more hours daily…

Our 7 year old TV at home is showing signs of ‘old age’. The color comes out as either too white or too red. Then the display isn’t properly aligned anymore (not centered).

But what can I expect? It’s just aiwa and got wet twice by typhoons.

Each morning when I go to city to work, I pass by this appliance store with plasma TV (on plasma mounts) in the display window. I can’t help but drool over their display and then later on be dismayed in shock once I see the price tag. Ha ha ha! Dream on Glo!
