In 9 days, I will be turning 37.

Age is just numbers you see…as I stopped counting at 25. I’m thinking of something special to get myself. Maybe a nice lingerie? It could be a nice change to my usual sleeping clothes of shirts and shorts. ;)

It’s just that I have no use of something like that at the moment. It is still just Raine occupying the left side of my bed. He he.

Well anyways, it would be nice to be ready just in case A made it home later this year…

Now that American Idol season 9 is over, I just lost 2 opportunities to unwind each week. It feels weird not rushing home on Wednesdays and Thursdays starting next week. But then classes will soon start, so I’ll have more things to be busy about. I just have a huge need to unwind these days as I’m being swamped with more and more blog assignments.

But then maybe it’s good that I have once again more opportunities to earn in blogging so I can afford a real vacation with Raine this year. (A quick trip to Singapore is a lot cheaper than Branson vacations!) So you know which one I’m going to pick. Besides, we have this long-standing invitation to visit. I really hope we’ll be able to make it this year.

I can’t wait for the AI season 9 finale this week.

I’m hoping that Lee DeWyze wins as the new Idol!

Who’s your bet?

Today I went to the city alone. In the last five weeks Raine’s been with me because he was attending summer classes. Now that that’s over, he gets to stay home and need not get up early in the mornings.

It’s weird I have all day to myself. This time I need not get off my computer at 1130 to fetch Raine in school. Today I have lunch breaks to myself.

It’s been 2 weeks that my sister-in-law and nephew are here on vacation. Since our plans to go to them this summer didn’t pull through, I decided to let them come here instead. We’ve been to the beach once already, on my father’s would-have-been 64th birthday. My nephew Glenn is raring to go back to the beach. We might actually do this weekend.

Classes resume on 14th June, so Raine still has enough time to do whatever he likes. ;)

Good news: It is a blessing that Noynoy decided to run for the presidency. Else, Erap is President again!

Good news: The PCOS machine assigned in my barangay didn’t fail.

Good news: There was no power interruption throughout the election day at least in my province.

Good news: I only queued in line for only an hour before I got my turn to vote.

Bad news: Smart Bro was down in my city during election day. I was offline.

Bad news: The jueteng lord won as Mayor in my hometown. Looks like his vote-buying strategies worked.

Bad news: Leading the senatorial race are Bong Revilla and Jinggoy Estrada. I didn’t vote for either one of them.

This is the second f***ing day of un-announced brownout here in my city. It’s bad for my business you know…

I know it is just 4 days before the elections and politicians in current power here (lalo na may mga apelyidong Lee at Dioneda ) are on the verge of losing their seats. Sobra na, tama na, palitan na talaga and mga yan.

Ang brownout…bow. Sarap maghuramentado!

While in my hometown there is vote-buying going on.

Shit. Ang init dito sa internet cafe. Bulok pa ang mga computers. Hayyy. This is soooo 4th world!

We still have employment problems. Good thing that this thing I do has been picking up. Honestly, I almost gave up on it. I’m just grateful that I didn’t let go of it altogether.

Anyways…I still wish I’d get a day job. It’s just that it’s been difficult to make it even to the short list. Maybe it’s my age or competition is just so high these days. Besides, there are too many energetic, unemployed fresh graduates these days.

But as long as writing jobs keep coming my way, I’ll be fine I  guess. There’s just one thing that I don’t stop doing. I keep praying that I’ll be able to provide for my family.

After all, I always believe that you won’t be given a load you cannot carry… ;)
